- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I've had to go to this vet office twice while visiting family. Both times were great experiences but then... I boarded my dachshund over the weekend. He needed two shots so I had them take care of it. They charged a $30 office visit because the tech had to check his temp, not the vet a tech. There was also a $7.50 check in fee. I was told about that fee but not about an office visit charge. When I picked him up, he was in an outside kennel that was nothing but gravel and so hoarse from barking. I have no idea if that is where he slept or how long he'd been out there. When I got home, he went straight to his food bowl. It was as if he hadn't eaten breakfast. He was taking meds. I have more pills than I should. The exact number that he should have been given over the weekend! Next time, I'll drive the 3 hours it takes to bring him to his regular vet.
